Chevallier ‘s Arena- Peachland, B.C.

The Chevallier’s Arena is packed with action! They are a family friendly place where generations hang out whether they are competing or not. Although this might sound a bit hectic, it’s not, with friends and family willing to help each other out and welcome first-time horse owners. Although the Chevallier’s have an indoor arena that they use for ropings and …

Serendipity Farms – Kelowna, B.C.

Serendipity Farms Equestrian Stables; wow! These stables and arena are an immaculate conception of what an equestrian facility should be! The farm is carefully designed and thought out; they have all the amenities you could desire and have done away with things you don’t want (such as metal roofing for sound!) . All arenas have a sand and shavings mix, …

Black Beam Equestrian Arena

It notes that it was designed by Marcus Gleysteen Architects in Boston, MA. I love the contrasting black beams and the full windows on the left hand side. Lakota Agriplex- Dawson Creek, B.C.

The Lakota Agriplex in Dawson Creek B.C., established in October 2007, is a 100 x 240 foot equestrian facility that hosts a variety of shows and competitions, as well as offers boarding for 110 horses in the indoor stalls. There are a small amount of bleachers on one side and a run-in for barrels and ropings. They also have a number of turn-out facilities or outdoor stalls on the north-east side of the building. They seemed to be far from capacity on my visit in January, a time when they should be, but that may have something to do with the current downturn in the economy.
